I enjoyed the 8 Minute Meditation Quiet Your Mind. Change Your Life by Victor Davich. I found that the 8 Minute Meditation Stress Reduction is a very different book than the first. The first was well written, transitioned well from one point to the next and offered much advice and instruction to teach you how to meditate. The second book does not even get to any point of instruction until page 75. The book is only 152 pages (paper back). The first 74 pages are pretty much the author telling you want he is going to do for you later in the book. I think that it was very insulting for the author to continue stating his past achievements and trying to sell you on the book by telling you over and over what you are going to experience once you read it. The first actual instruction on page 75, Instachill, is barely two pages long.

Like the Godfather movie, one and two were great but the last one was not. I feel like the author just wanted to put a book out but did not really have anything to say. I'm sure he means well but he could have done the same by writing a blog or an article with the minimal information provided in the book.

This book could possibly be a helpful ten pages instead of 151. The amount of filler and fluff is overwhelming; it's annoyingly repetitive and boastful. If you feel like having your intelligence insulted by an author whose book reads like a late night infomercial, then by all means enjoy! Perhaps his first book was a hit, but this book was just a money grab.
Another great book from Victor Davich. He takes the mystique out of stress reduction just as he did with meditation.
Mr. Davich's new stress relief program couldn't come at a better time. And his approach is unique. Instead of resisting stress you allow it and simply pass through it. The many techniques and exercises in the book are designed to empower you to do just that. My stress has gone down and the forecast is excellent. It might seem magical, but it's the real deal. With 90% of all doctor's visits stress-related, you owe it to yourself to take advantage of the simple, powerful stress-relief tools Mr. Davich provides.
I have been an 8 Minute meditator for just over a year and have been a big fan of this unique approach to meditation. Recently however I found myself having to deal with a lot more stress in my life than usual and while my 8 minute meditation sessions had been excellent thus far, I noticed that Mr. Davich had a new book and it was exactly what I was looking for, STRESS REDUCTION. This is not your usual meditation book, this is not your usual stress management book either, it's a great read for anybody interested in learning how to handle stressful situations on their own and dealing with stress in general. It's written for everyday people with everyday problems, and lots of examples for dealing with just about any kind of situation. Do yourself a favor and read this book, you'll be very happy you did.
